Highlights of the itinerary: 4x4 trip (gardener) to Grandes Lençóis and Lagoa Azul; ferry crossing over the Preguiças River, lagoons with crystal clear waters, a flying boat ride through Pequenos Lençóis to Caburé; visit to the community of Vassouras, Mandacaru (small village that guards the Preguiças Lighthouse); flying boat through the Delta (Feijão Bravo), visits to Igarapés dos Periquitos, Ilha dos Poldros, Baía do Feijão Bravo, Ilha das Canárias and Morro Branco; ride in an air-conditioned 4x4 along the beaches of the East Coast; buggy ride in Jericoacoara.

For this itinerary, arrival must be made via São Luís do Maranhão airport, with 1 extra night in the city of São Luís at your choice of hotel. Departure must be made via Fortaleza airport. We recommend an extra night in Fortaleza at the end of the circuit, as the estimated arrival in Fortaleza from Jericoacoara is at 6:00 pm.

1st Day - São Luís/Barreirinhas: from 6:40 am, depending on the location of the accommodation, board an air-conditioned vehicle heading to the city of Barreirinhas (Gateway to the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park). The route is around 260 km with an average duration of 3h30 and a quick stop in the city of Morros for toilets and coffee (not included). Check-in and accommodation. At 1:40 pm, departure in a 4x4 bib vehicle to the Grandes Lençóis Circuit. Ferry crossing over the Preguiças River and continuing on the trail to the stopping point (about 40 minutes on the trail). Disembark and start a light walk along the white sand to the lagoons with crystal clear waters, which form during the rainy season, with stops for swimming and contemplating the beautiful landscape and enjoying the sunset. Return to the vehicle via the same route to the hotel. Free night.

2nd Day - Barreirinhas: after breakfast, departure from the hotel to the Av. Beira rio pier and board a flying boat for the Rio Preguiças Circuit (APA – Environmental Protection Area). During the route, you can appreciate the landscape of typical mangrove vegetation and the fauna of the region surrounding the river. The first stop is in the local community of Vassouras where the small sheets are located and a small community of riverside dwellers and capuchin monkeys that live there and interact with the visitor. Continue to Mandacaru, a small village that houses the Preguiças Lighthouse with 160 steps to enjoy a 360º view of the region, with dunes, river, mouth, typical vegetation and the city. Finally, Caburé, a beach that divided the river and the sea. Stop for lunch (not included). From 3:00 pm, departure by speedboat passing through streams of the river to Barreirinhas and overnight.

3rd Day - Barreirinhas/Parnaíba: at 8:30 am, board a 4x4 air-conditioned vehicle (Hilux or similar) heading to the city of Parnaíba. During the route, passes through the small sheets, passing through Paulino Neves, Tutóia and Lagoinha. The average duration is 3:30 hours and lunch is not included. Overnight in Parnaíba.

4th Day - Parnaíba: after breakfast, transfer from the hotel to Porto dos Tatus and board a flying boat for a tour of the Delta of the Americas and Feijão Bravo Bay. During the route, visits are made to Igarapé dos Periquitos, Ilha dos Poldros, Baía do Feijão Bravo, Ilha das Canárias and Morro Branco, with stops for swimming and photos. Lunch during the route (not included). Go to the port and immediately board an air-conditioned vehicle for a tour of the beaches on the East Coast of Piauí (Luís Correia, Atalaia, Coqueiro and Macapá – visits to the beaches depend on the tide). Return to the hotel and overnight.

5th Day - Parnaíba/Jericoacoara: in the morning, at a time to be agreed, departure in an air-conditioned 4x4 vehicle (Hilux or similar) to Jericoacoara via Camocim with a ferry crossing over the Coreaú River, passing through Ilha do Amor, Tatajuba, Lagoa da Torta , Guriú and Mangue Seco with crossings between dunes, rivers and lakes as well as local villages (Duration: 03h30 approx.). Free night. Overnight in Jericoacoara.

6th Day - Jericoacoara: at 9:00 am, departure by buggy along Preá beach, Lagoa Azul, Paraíso and Pedra Furada with stops for swimming and appreciation of the main and most beautiful tourist attractions in Jeri. Lunch (not included) is during the tour. Overnight

7th Day - Jericoacoara/Fortaleza: after breakfast, at a time to be agreed, departure in an air-conditioned 4x4 vehicle (Hilux or similar) to the city of Fortaleza by road lasting approximately 5 hours.

Travelers are often in doubt about the best time to travel to Lençóis Maranhenses, especially so they can find the lagoons full! Our recommendation is, you can travel to see them all year round. Each era has its characteristics and scenery, which will always be wonderful given the exuberant beauty of the place.

The destination's climate is hot, varying between 28°C and 34°C, sometimes with a slightly higher thermal sensation. Use and abuse sunscreen and wear light clothing. During tours, a UV protection shirt is a perfect companion, as well as swimwear should also be part of your luggage. Oh! And if you like accessories like caps, hats and sunglasses, they are highly recommended.

Staying hydrated and eating a light diet will help you feel better during your daily activities. Of course, don't forget to try the regional cuisine! It is worth enjoying the varied and succulent dishes served in typical restaurants.

Packages are always priced in apartments in the standard category, with the exception of Gran Lençóis Flat and Casa de Santo Antônio. In the triple apartment, a superior category is used due to the configuration of the apartment, and in the Grand Lençóis the third guest is accommodated on a sofa bed. Standard apartments will only be available for singles and doubles.

In Fortaleza we leave the passenger at the hotel or airport.

Hotels and inns use, as a general rule, an international criterion of entry time (check-in) at 2 pm and departure time (check-out) at 12 pm.

If accommodation is not available in the selected hotels, the passenger will be accommodated in another hotel/inn of the same category.

Lençóis Maranhenses: The lagoons fill up under the influence of the rains that occur from December to May and reach their maximum level in June and July. The rains stop and from the second half of September they begin to show lower water levels until they dry up.

When disembarking at the airport, pay attention to the identification immediately at the gate, after collecting your luggage. Our supplier will be waiting for you with a sign with your name, company and/or operator logo. When located, simply go to the person responsible and identify yourself.

You will receive a "travel diary". This material will contain information about contracted services with their respective times.

It is very normal to take accessories on the trip or we buy souvenirs, local products, making some extra items during our trips. When disembarking from transport, always look around you and make sure all your items are with you. They are in your care.

The Barreirinhas / Parnaíba transfer will use 4x4 vehicles (Hillux or similar), and common vehicles such as vans or minibuses will not be used.

One piece of luggage up to 23 kg with a maximum size of 158 cm per person is allowed. The boarding of excess volume is not guaranteed and if there are extra costs, they will be the responsibility of the passenger.

Returning home always with luggage full, especially with new stories and experiences, is always good. One of the best ways to record them is in your memory, of course, but also with beautiful photos of the best moments! So, keep your cell phone charged to capture it! And if you have a camera, leave a place in your luggage for it to accompany you on this incredible trip.
